SDC Professional Security Officers and Investigators meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Illinois State Firearms Certification
  • State Security certification
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of law enforcement experience OR Associates Degree OR minimum 5 years of security experience with preference to supervisory experience during their tenure
